Charles Marco Diokno Manzo emigrated in 2009 and brings a perspective of two worlds when creating art in Toronto. He is a playwright, spoken word artist and educator. Manzo cultivates his art with a strong relationship with his roots and his journey of being the “Other”. Charles has his degree in Devised Theatre, B.A. Spec. Hons. from Arts Media Performance and Design at York University. He is currently pursuing his B. Ed. Intermediate/Senior Degree and soon to be legally OCT (Ontario College of Teachers) certified. The stories that he focuses on are bringing a voice to those who are dealing with Trauma and who are in their own path of healing.
