Do you call yourself “First Gen”?
October 23rd, 2019 is First Generation Day at York University, honouring the over 12,000 undergrad students who are part of the first generation in their families to attend postsecondary education. First Gen is a moniker to wear with pride! You are joining the thousands of York students, alumni, staff and faculty who have worked hard, broken family norms and taken risks to get here. You are in good company. York U is full of people like you. Even President Rhonda Lenton is a proud #FirstGenYU!
